I live in Sydney, Australia!

OK, I know I am stating the completely obvious. But sometimes it just hits me that I live here, and I amazed at the fact that I am here.

One of my co-workers read through all of my Australia updates. Her comment about them: "I can see in your updates how you went from excited and amazed to living your life here" She is right I am now just living my life. I no longer feel as if I am a traveller, in a sense I am a local. Though she is incorrect in thinking that I have lost my wonder, I just lost the want to talk about it.

So things I still do and think and discover every so often:

Every morning I do everything I can to sit on the top level at a window seat on the train so I can stare out at the harbour on the way to work. I actually stop reading for those 3 minutes of bridge crossing.

Whenever I make it to the beach, I have a little voice in my head saying, "You are on the Pacific Ocean. You live here. There is the ocean. How cool is that?"

When I was a kid I thought it was the coolest thing in the world that in winter there were people on other hemispheres that were in the middle of summer. Guess what? It is November and the sun is beating down, the temperature is in the high 90s and the summer is only beginning.

Last night I was walking down the main drag in my neighbourhood. Monday, at around 8. Lots of people walking. Lots of lights glowing. Lots of cars flying by. Lots of pubs bustling. And I was on my way home. At home in the city.

There is so much more, but those are just a few things I wanted to share with you.

I know this is the 3rd update in 2 weeks. And I still owe you one more (I missed a month or 2 in the last couple of updates) So you should expect one more update from me in the next week. Then I will be back to my normal lack of e-mails.

Take Care,
Tia
